Format & Schedule

10 hours total — spread across four weekday evenings or two relaxed weekend sessions, so you can learn without rushing.

Group Size

What’s Included

Up to 4 participants, which means personal attention, space to ask questions, and a calmer learning pace.

Materials including wood and all hand tools are provided — you don’t need to bring anything or prepare in advance. Insurance coverage for the workshop is also included.

Woodcraft Course Program

Marking and Drilling

Learn how to mark the leg positions and angles with precision. You’ll use traditional measuring tools and templates to ensure perfect alignment before drilling the leg holes.

Shaping and Fitting the Legs

Refine each leg to fit snugly into the seat. You’ll practice cutting slots and preparing wedges that lock the legs securely in place — a classic joinery method used for centuries.

Assembling the Structure

Join the parts together, glue the legs into the seat, and trim the bottom of the legs for balance. This is the stage where your bench or stool truly takes shape.

Detailing the Surface

Smooth and chamfer the seat edges, giving your piece both comfort and elegance. You’ll also prepare the surface for painting
or oiling.

Painting and Finishing

Finish your furniture using natural paints and oils. You’ll learn how to apply color, protect the surface, and highlight the texture of the wood — creating a durable and beautiful result.

During the WoodCraft Course, you’ll go step by step through the full process of building your own piece of furniture — from shaping the legs to finishing the surface with natural oils. Each stage introduces new tools and techniques that deepen your understanding of how wood works.

By the end of the course, you’ll have built your own stool or bench — a fully functional, handcrafted piece made entirely by you
