Lampshade Making Workshop at Red House Restorations

This 3-hour workshop offers a practical introduction to the craft of lampshade making. Held at Red House Restorations, the session is open to all levels and requires no previous experience. Participants can choose to attend one evening during the week or a Sunday morning session.

During the workshop, you will learn step by step how to cut, glue, and assemble a lampshade using fabric, rims, and canvas. By the end of the session, you will have completed your own unique, functional lampshade to take home. You can choose the shape of your lampshade — cylindrical or conic — and select from a range of fabrics and linings provided. If you prefer, you are welcome to bring your own fabric to match your interior style. Throughout the session, our instructors will offer guidance on the best combinations of materials and accessories to achieve a balanced and well-crafted result.

The workshop provides all the materials and tools you need, and you’ll gain the confidence and knowledge to make more lampshades on your own. Participants of this masterclass also receive a discount on lampshade bases for future projects.

This workshop is a relaxed and enjoyable way to learn a new skill, explore creativity, and bring home a handmade piece that will add warmth and personality to your space.

Prices

The 3-hour workshop costs 65 euros, plus 1.5 euros for personal accident insurance.

All materials – metal hoops, canvas, fabrics, props, appliqués and accessories – are included.
